Christmas tree recycling pick-up begins Dec. 31 for town residents.

DANVILLE, CA – Another year over, almost -- which means time to dismantle and discard the Christmas tree.

This year's recycling pick-up week begins Dec. 31 and runs through Jan. 4 for residents in the Town of Danville.

Residents are asked to leave trees on the curbsides on their normal trash pickup days during that week. But as a reminder: Due to the New Year holiday, all pickups from Tuesday through Friday of that week will be delayed by one day, according to officials from the town and RecycleSmart.
