Hunger Games - Holiday Food Drive
It's that time of year, the holidays are fast approaching and people and pets would love to help you clean out your pantry.
When planning an event of any nature, gathering excitement and curiosity will draw in the crowds and fill donation barrels. What better tie in than the hit movie Hunger Games - a movie about random people who were selected, having most things stripped away from them and survive by wits and donations from sponsors and tributes.
Let’s remember that this scenario is not only restricted to the movies, but it is also apart of many people’s daily lives. While not trying to go the Sarah McLaclan route [lol we all know the “In the Arm’s of an Angel” with the worlds saddest puppies] or the UNICEF starving children route, just the simple gift of those canned beans you’ll never use, those access fruit snacks your kids didn’t like, those protein bars you were going to eat to be healthy but cake happened are all greatly appreciated by many families in our local area.
Anything that you give, is something people didn’t have and any donation is greatly appreciated. Not only by us, the hosts of this Food Drive, but also to the neighbors and animals that will graciously accept what you will give to them.

While we advocate to give within your ability, it’s always favorable to give our neighbors food they can use. We realize every pantry is different, if you have organic items to donate - awesome, if not - that’s great too. Everything makes a difference and most important is we are coming together to help our neighbors.
