I-680 On-Ramp To Close Thursday

DANVILLE, CA — A water main break repair and the closure of an I-680 on-ramp may cause delays for Danville motorists over the next few days, the town said.

Caltrans is also conducting a closure of the El Cerro Boulevard on-ramp to southbound I-680 on Thursday, Feb. 5 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drivers should use alternate routes and allow for extra travel time. The ramp closed in January, and construction is taking place as needed from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. until June for emergency roadway repairs, sound wall repairs, and related work.

The East Bay Municipal Utilities District is also repairing a water main break near El Rincon Road through the end of the week. Southbound lanes on El Rincon Road will be shifted around the construction zone.
