Last Shout for Recyclables

The local girls collecting bottles and cans for the Semper Fi Foundation are looking for a last push before summer ends.

School starts in about a month and that means the project started by the Chu sisters and their friends will soon come to a close.

What's the project? Well, Green Valley Elementary students Sydney and Emme Chu, along with four of their friends decided to spend the summer collecting bottles and cans to , a group founded by the family of that helps wounded Marines and those close to them.

So, as the project starts to wrap up, the girls are looking for an end of the summer push. Can you help them out?

"We are nearing the end of summer and want to give one last shout out to all who are reading the Patch," Sherman Chu, the father of the Sydney and Emme said. "The deadline is Monday, Aug. 20. Let's see what the final few weeks can do for some Marines."
