A former St. Isidore Catholic Church facilities manager was ordered to pay back $35,000 of $68,000 he took from the church. Virgilo Lukban, a 47-year-old Danville resident, pleaded no contest Thursday and was ordered to pay back the money and serve three years probation. Lukban's defense was that he believed some of the charges were approved by the Church's bookeeper, Kathleen Dake, who is serving jail time for taking more than $400,000 from the church. .
