Local High Schoolers Fighting Against COVID-19, Learn How to Help
Danville Fighting COVID-19 is crowdsourcing 3D printed face shields and PPE to protect local health care workers! See how you can help!

When Vikram Gopalan (17) saw a video about an effort by the maker community in Huntsville, Alabama to fight COVID-19 by crowdsourcing production of 3D-printed face shields, he knew his friends had the drive and skillset needed to make a difference in the community. Danville Fighting COVID was born moments after as students across SRVUSD mobilized to fight the spread of COVID-19 in their community.
Danville Fighting COVID is on a mission to rally the local maker community to produce personal protective equipment (PPE) for hospitals in the Bay Area. Within the first 72 hours, they set up all of the groundwork for their initiative and began spreading the word. The community has already shown a tremendous amount of support, with over 230 face shields committed to them in the last week.
You too can get involved and fight back against COVID-19! With a 3D printer, it takes under 20 minutes to print a single face shield frame to protect a health care worker on the front lines!
