Troopers located the vehicle, a black 2014 Kia Soul, at about 5 p.m. and pulled it over while shutting down Highway 5 in both directions for about 20 minutes. Both men complied with police and were taken into custody without incident, state troopers said.

Contra Costa County sheriff’s officials were not immediately available to say whether Wilson and Adanandus were homicide suspects in a sheriff’s investigation or a separate police case in the county.
