Probationer Smashed Car Window In Danville, Town Officials Say

The Antioch resident was found to have an outstanding robbery warrant, according to officials.

DANVILLE, CA — An Antioch man Thursday night smashed the window of a car parked in a downtown Danville parking lot, town officials said. An officer conducting a safety check in Lunardi’s Market parking lot contacted a man, later identified as 51-year-old Marquis Brooks of Antioch.

Brooks was found to be on probation and had outstanding warrant for robbery. Police said the window of a vehicle parked near the location where Brooks was first spotted had been smashed.

Brooks was arrested on suspicion of violating probation, vandalism, providing false identification to police and for the warrant, according to a town spokesperson. He is being held without bail at the Martinez Detention Facility.
