Man Arrested In Alamo Home, Charged With Bank Robberies

The man is linked to East Bay bank robberies, the Contra Costa Sheriff's Office said.

ALAMO, CA — A man was arrested in his Alamo home Thursday afternoon after law enforcement officials linked him to a series of Contra Costa County bank robberies, the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office said Friday. Police say they tracked down Brendan Gray, 41, after identifying a car linked to the robberies.

The sheriff's office believes Gray is linked to: a Feb. 19 robbery at the Lafayette Wells Fargo Bank on Mt. Diablo Boulevard; a Feb. 12 robbery at the Orinda Wells Fargo Bank on Moraga Way; and a Feb. 1 robbery at the Walnut Creek Wells Fargo Bank.

The arrest was a multi-agency collaboration involving Danville police, Lafayette police and Walnut Creek police and the sheriff's office. Officials obtained a warrant and Walnut Creek police arrested him.

Gray is being held in lieu of $300,000 bail at the Martinez Detention Facility and faces three counts of first-degree robbery, the sheriff's office said.
