Mooove Over, Fido: Photo of Danville Cow(ch) Potato Goes Viral

This cute calf snagged the dog's usual spot on the sofa. The extremely domesticated ungulate even has his own Twitter account.

It’s the last thing a Danville teen expected to see in her house, much less on her sofa.

Shaylee Hubbs, 17, says after leaving the door to her Danville house open, she discovered Goliath, her pet cow (yes, we said cow), snuggled up on the couch like a dog. Hubbs snapped a photo of the adorable bovine and Goliath’s photo and his incredible story went viral. The sickly calf, who came into the world weak and destined for slaughter, was rescued by Hubbs and her family.

According to KTVU, during his convalescence Goliath quickly became friends with Leonidas, the family’s huge Great Dane. Apparently, the little cow learned a thing or two from him while doing so.

“He often stood at our back door with hot breath fogging up the window as he watched the lucky Great Dane lounge around the house and on couch,” Hubbs told KTVU.
