Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes Available at Danville Community Center

DANVILLE COMMUNITY CENTER COLLECTING OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOXES FOR THE WORLD'S LARGEST CHRISTMAS PROJECT

This month, Danville Community Center will be collecting shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child—the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind. The annual Samaritan’s Purse project is a favorite of many residents, families, churches and groups who spread joy to millions of children around the world by filling shoeboxes with fun toys, like a doll or soccer ball, school supplies, hygiene items and notes of encouragement.

During National Collection Week, Nov. 16 – 23, anyone can pick up, fill and drop off a gift-filled shoebox to send to a child overseas at Danville Community Center (please drop off by Nov. 22). Pick up your shoebox and ”How to Pack a Shoebox” brochure today and help contribute to the 2015 global goal of reaching 11 million children in need.
