PG&E Announces Weekend Power Outage In Contra Costa Co., Danville

DANVILLE, CA — PG&E will be disconnecting power to 48,000 customers in Contra Costa County starting Saturday at 10 p.m. and lasting up to Monday afternoon, the utility announced Friday.

According to a PG&E outage map, some Danville residents might be impacted.

The Public Safety Power Shutoff is due to extreme fire weather conditions.

Residents and business owners are being encouraged to find alternative energy sources for light, charging devices and other necessities. Citizens are also asked to plan ahead with food and water, and make sure grab-and-go emergency kits are ready.
