Policing in Danville and Beyond

To enlighten us on crime around Danville and beyond, we have invited the Danville Chief of Police, Steve Simpkins, to be our February speake

Remember not too long ago we could leave our front doors unlocked, leave the windows wide open on a hot summer night or let our children play ball at the local park until dark? Well, those days are over!

Chief Simpkins has been in law enforcement for 23 years. He has been serving as the Chief of Police in Danville since July of 2010 and holds the rank of Captain in the Sheriff’s Office.

Our guest speaker completed the FBI National Academy at Quantico, Virginia and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Chapman University. He has a graduate certificate in criminal justice from the University of Virginia and holds a Master’s Degree in Administrative Leadership from the University of Oklahoma.
