DANVILLE, CA — PG&E began inspecting and repairing equipment Monday morning to restore power to Danville, with full restoration expected by the end of the day.

But the region has been warned of another Public Safety Power Shutoff that could hit Tuesday.

PG&E is following a potentially strong, widespread dry offshore wind event forecast Tuesday through midday Wednesday for Northern California that could impact the East Bay.

Residents and businesses are urged to plan for medical needs like medications that require refrigeration or devices that need power; identify backup charging methods for phones and keep hard copies of emergency numbers; build or restock their emergency kits with flashlights, fresh batteries, first aid supplies and cash; and keep in mind pets and family members who are elderly or younger children.
