Protesters Visit CoCo Sheriff's Danville Home: Report
Black Lives Matter protesters called on Contra Costa County to defund law enforcement and shut down juvenile hall, NBC Bay Area reported.
DANVILLE, CA — Dozens of protesters took to Contra Costa County Sheriff David Livingston's home in Danville to call for significant public safety reforms, NBC Bay Area reported Monday.
Some spoke of their own experiences with police abusing their power, the station reported.
Protesters called on the county to close juvenile hall and defund law enforcement agencies, the station reported. The money should go to areas where it can do more social good, such as housing, criminal justice and education, protesters said.
