Rotary Club Of Alamo Presents Paul Harris Fellowship
National Park Superintendent Tom Leatherman was honored for "the significant contribution he has made to the Bay Area in the last 13 years."
Press release from The Rotary Club of Alamo:
Oct. 13, 2021
The Rotary Club of Alamo was proud to present Tom Leatherman – Superintendent for the National Park Service over Eugene O’Neill National Historic Site (Tao House in Danville), John Muir National Historic Site (Martinez), Port Chicago Naval Magazine National Monument (north Concord) and Rosie the Riveter National Historic Museum (Richmond) – with a Paul Harris Fellowship for the significant contribution he has made to the Bay Area in the last 13 years as Superintendent. Tom has done an outstanding job in these quite varied National Park Service facilities and each is among the stars of the NPS system thanks largely to his involved leadership and relationship with the different communities. Tom leaves our area in October to become Superintendent of the Pearl Harbor National Memorial in Hawaii… due largely to his highly successful leadership of these four locations here.

Given Tom's busy schedule, the Club has been trying to get him to come by a lunch meeting so that the Rotary Club of Alamo could present him this Paul Harris Fellowship for his superb commitment to our greater Bay Area community. “The Paul Harris Fellowship is a VERY SPECIAL AWARD that is only given to folks who make significant outstanding contributions to the community and we were honored to have Tom receive this unique award,” said Past District 5160 Governor and Alamo Rotarian Brian Thiessen, who presented the Paul Harris Fellowship to Tom. “We are pleased to present the Fellowship on behalf of all the Rotary Clubs of the area – as he has benefited our County – East to West, north and south,” he said.
