Scholarships presented to local high school women for Leadership

Three local women received awards in recognition of their leadership abilities

San Ramon Valley Republican Women Federated awarded three scholarships to local high school women during their recognition dinner at Crow Canyon Country Club on May 26th. The recipients are San Ramon Valley High School students Anna Rose Vojvoda and Isabel Gervis and Monte Vista High School student Shannon Nesbit. Assemblymember Catharine Baker presented the awards. Attendees then had the opportunity to hear 16th District Assemblywoman Baker speak on her experiences since being elected last November. The 16th district, which Catharine Baker represents, includes Danville, San Ramon, and Alamo.

President of the San Ramon Valley Republican Women Federated, Linda King stated “Since 2010, our Club has awarded these scholarships to 12 outstanding young women. It was an honor to be able to recognize these three outstanding students with scholarships to enable them to further their education and continue to grow as leaders in our community.”
