'Significant Delays' Expected Along Diablo Road For Months, Especially Around Schools

A portion of Diablo Road will be reduced to a single lane due to construction of the Diablo Road Multi-Use Trail, the town said.

DANVILLE, CA — Danville drivers should expect “significant delays” until October due to construction on the Diablo Road Multi-Use Trail, the town said.

During work hours, traffic will be reduced to a single alternating lane on Diablo Road between Fairway Drive and Alameda Diablo. This is expected to affect traffic around Monte Vista High School, Los Cerros Middle School, Green Valley Elementary School, the Athenian School, and St. Timothy’s Preschool. It may also affect travel to and from Vista Grande Elementary School. Traffic is expected to be affected through roughly Oct. 15.

Drivers are advised to allow additional time and consider alternate routes when possible.
