SRV Thunderbirds Cheer Silver Squad Win Second Place
San Ramon Valley Thunderbirds Cheerleaders competed in the JAMZ Nationals in Las Vegas, NV
The San Ramon Valley Thunderbirds Cheerleaders competed in the JAMZ Nationals held in the exciting city of Las Vegas, NV. The Jamz Nations is the LARGEST Youth National Championship in the U.S. with more than 650 cheer squads competing. The Silver squad competed against 11 amazing teams in the Division 13 Level 2 Show Cheer Small Team and took second place.
Before heading to Las Vegas for Jamz Youth Nationals the SRV Thunderbirds Cheer Squads competed in three regional competitions for both POM and Show Cheer. The silver team had brought home 2 second place awards during regionals competing against teams from Sacramento, Yuba City, Rocklin, Vacaville and more. Leading up to each competition these girls have worked hard in perfecting their tumbling, stunting, jumping and dance technique. They wrapped up their season with a showcase for friends and family to attend that could not make the travels to Las Vegas, NV.
These girls not only compete in cheer competitions but also participate in sideline cheers and half time shows for the SRV Thunderbirds Football Teams from September to December. This year the Scout and Midget Football teams went on to win the Championship game played at Monte Vista High School referred to as the Turkey Bowl. The Midget Team has won the championship game three years in a row.

San Ramon Valley Thunderbirds fosters each athlete to have good work ethics, compassion, respect and integrity while always striving for excellence. Each season the cheerleaders participate in helping the community by donating toys to Toys for Tots, collecting warm coats, holding a Special Needs Cheer Clinic and raising money for others such as Jake Javier. At the end of each season scholar athletes are awarded for their academic achievements.
The San Ramon Valley Thunderbirds have a long and proud history in the Valley. The youth organization is the oldest in the area with its earliest beginnings in 1959.
