SRVFPD Crews Conducting 4-Day Training In Danville Neighborhood

DANVILLE, CA — Residents in the area of Smokewood Court in Danville can expect smoke and many firefighters in their neighborhood starting Friday and continuing through Monday.

Crews with the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District will be conducting training drills on a donated structure at 46 Smokewood Court, the agency announced. The training will take place 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. all four days and will involve crews, fire trucks, tools, heavy equipment and either real or synthetic smoke, according to the SRVFPD.

"The goals of these types of training opportunities is to better prepare, prevent, and respond to emergencies," the agency said.

Barricades will be in place to keep the public at a safe distance and away from the operation, according to the SRVFPD.
