SRVHS Girls, Boys Soccer Teams Both Win State Championships
The Wolves swept the CIF Division II state championships.

DANVILLE, CA — March 13 was a good day to be a Wolf.
On that day, San Ramon Valley High School boys and girls soccer teams both won the CIF Division II Championships, held at Natomas High School in Sacramento.
The girls team defeated Westlake High School of Westlake Village 1-0 in overtime, according to Maxpreps. The winning goal was scored by freshman Morgan Van Puffelen.

"I am so happy for the girls. This eight game playoff run has been amazing to be part of, it's a special team," girls Coach Mark Jones told Patch in a statement.
The boys team defeated Mira Monte High School of Bakersfield 4-1.

"This is a sweet moment for the players, the coaches, alumni, all the families connected to SRV soccer, San Ramon Valley High School, and the community of Danville. For both the boys and girls teams to win inaugural State Championships, that's pretty special. In this day and age we need moments of goodness and reasons to collectively celebrate. These outstanding student-athletes have given us just that - sweet goodness because of the perseverance, hard work, and dedication of young people," said boys Coach Don Busboom.
