SRVUSD Releases E-Bike, Scooter Safety Video
DPD Chief Allan Shields and Diablo Vista Principal Jeff Osborn address a number of topics related to e-bike and scooter safety.
DANVILLE, CA — The San Ramon Valley Unified School District has released a new E-Bike and Scooter Safety Video to help provide tips on how students can stay safe riding these increasingly popular modes of transportation.
In the video, Diablo Vista Principal Jeff Osborn talks to Danville Police Department Chief Allan Shields about a number of safety topics, including:
- General safety tips
- E-Scooter safety tips
- Bike lanes
- Rules of the road
- Helmet laws
- Parking lot safety
- Pedestrian safety
- Safety tips for the Iron Horse Trail
- Tips for parents
The district has also released an At-a-Glance Summary Safety Chart providing information about age requirements, speed limits, helmet laws, and more for different types of e-bikes and scooters.
