Staff Pick for a Holiday Movie: "UNBROKEN"

In theaters on Christmas Day, the movie Unbroken is based on the life experiences of Louie Zamperini, a US Olympian, WWII bombardier, POW, author, and inspirational speaker.

Lazarex Cancer Foundation was privileged to have Mr. Zamperini as the keynote speaker for our 2012 gala aboard the aircraft carrier the U.S.S. Hornet. He was 95 years young at the time. Our guests were riveted throughout his talk and so inspired that they gave him two standing ovations!

Though parts of the story are painful, this is a perfect holiday movie and an incredible tale of resilience, survival and redemption.
