Syria: The Largest Humanitarian Crisis Since WW2

Bridging Cultures and Religions Together

On the evening of Sunday, April 24, we will have an opportunity to learn more about the crisis in Syria that has caused so many people to flee and greatly exacerbated the global refugee problem. Three national leaders of the Syrian American Council are visiting the East Bay and will be speaking at a gathering in Danville from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Danville Congregational Church has agreed to host the meeting at 989 San Ramon Valley Boulevard. The church is just to the west of Highway 680, between the Crow Canyon and Sycamore exits.

Many of our neighbors of Syrian origin will be there and most of these have family members who are still suffering in Syria or are seeking a new home. So we believe that this event will help us gain a deeper understanding of the largest humanitarian crisis since World War 2.

Featuring SAC President, Mirna Barq and SAC National Team.
