Jimmy & Jennifer Jhanda take the reins - new Primos Owners

Big news is cookin' in downtown Danville: Primos, the neighborhood hangout that's been serving up good times and great food for nearly 50 years, has new owners—Jimmy and Jennifer Jhanda. Even better? They've teamed up with local restaurant powerhouse guru Wes Aziz, who will be running the show as Operating Partner. The Jhanda family—deeply rooted in the Danville community—is stepping in with one goal: keep everything locals love about Primos, while breathing in new life where it counts. Think: the same welcoming vibe, comfort classics on the menu, plus a few fresh twists and surprises coming soon. "Primos is legendary in Danville and has a great soul," said Jimmy Jhanda. "We're not here to change that—we're here to protect it, refresh it, and make sure it's still around for the next 50 years." Jhanda sold and exited his wildly successful tech staffing franchise 12 months ago and retired. One goal during retirement, for both him, and his wife Jennifer was to make an investment in the local Danville community and Primo's checked all the boxes. Great Food. Energized Sports. Community Feel. "Primos is part of the fabric of this town," said Jennifer Jhanda. "We're just adding a few new threads." Wes Aziz, known for turning restaurants into neighborhood hotspots, is bringing his signature energy and expertise to the day-to-day. Chromatica invites you to be moved by exquisite choral music at 7pm on April 25 at Peace Lutheran Church, 3201 Camino Tassajara in Danville, and at 4pm on April 26 at Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church, 433 Moraga Way in Orinda. The Danville concert will include Chromatica’s popular post-concert reception.
Fresh from its first out of town performance in January in Santa Fe, New Mexico where it received a standing ovation for its performance of Christopher Tin’s Transfigurations, Chromatica returns with a selection of thrilling choral pieces for its Spring concerts. David Huff, Chromatica’s founding director, has assembled some remarkable pieces sung in English, Latin, German and Spanish to illustrate the enduring power of great choral music. Some compositions will include stringed accompaniment.
Alfred Lord Tennyson wrote the poem There is sweet music here in the 19th century to celebrate the emotional impact of music. In a setting composed by Zachary Moore, it frames Chromatica’s spring concerts. 
Brahms, Schubert and Schumann were all masters of vocal music, and the concerts include Brahms Abendlied, Schubert’s An Die Musik, and Schumann’s Widmung. Mozart’s Sanctus
from his Requiem, and Bruckner’s Locus Iste add more classical weight.
There are two Alleluias – one by Buxtehude and one more modern by Randall Thompson. Contemporary pieces by Randall Stroope (the lovely Amor de mi Alma), two pieces by Ola Gjeilo, and Dan Forrest’s The Sun Never Says add a modern emphasis to the concerts.
“It has always been Chromatica’s goal to identify and perform the best of choral music. These concerts show the extraordinary depth and beauty of choral writing across several centuries. Performing these pieces is both a privilege and a joy – and I’m sure our audience will love them” said David Huff, founding artistic director.

Chromatica Chorale was founded in 2011 and now includes 32 men and women singers. It has performed 26 prior series of ticketed concerts in the East Bay, attracting large and enthusiastic audiences. Led by David Huff, an outstanding director and operatic tenor who has sung both in New York and San Francisco and accompanied by the exceptional pianist and assistant director, Julie Rieth, it seeks to perform challenging pieces at a high level of professionalism.
