Tassajara Valley Little League Kicks Off Season With Opening Day Ceremonies
Patch sets up table at the ceremonies as hundreds of children and parents get the Little League season off to a rousing start
Tassajara Valley Little League held its Opening Day ceremonies this morning and Danville Patch was there to help celebrate.
More than 600 children have signed up to play this year in six age divisions. Some teams are playing today at Sycamore Fields on Holbrook Drive. Most of the teams will gathered at 11 a.m. on field number four for the official ceremonies.
KTVU sportscaster Joe Fonzi announced the teams as they paraded onto the field. A girls choir sang the Star Spangled Banner and two young players recited the Little League Pledge.
