Thunderstorm Possible In Danville Thursday Morning: NWS
The National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement to the East Bay warning of thunder, lightning, hail, and heavy winds.

DANVILLE, CA — Danville may see thunderstorms and hail Thursday morning, the National Weather Service reports. The NWS Bay Area issued a Special Weather Statement for Dublin and the East Bay Interior Valley, East Bay Hills, and the Diablo Range after “trained weather spotters” reported a strong thunderstorm moving north near San Ramon at 45 mph.
The severe weather is coming as part of a storm system from the Gulf of Alaska, according to the NWS. Meteorologists reported a strong thunderstorm near San Ramon at around 8:15 a.m. Thursday morning and thunder in Danville.
The storm may bring lightning, pea size hail, heavy rain, and wind gusts of up 30 miles an hour. Winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects, and minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

The storm is bringing frequent cloud to ground lightning, which can strike from 10 miles away, the NWS said. Residents are advised to seek shelter inside a building or vehicle.
The rain and winds are expected to subside around the afternoon.
