Town of Danville Committees Seek Recruits

The Town of Danville is looking for community-minded residents to fill vacancies on Town committees/commissions. The following advisory bodies are looking for new members:

• Planning Commission: Three members, 4-year term begins January 1, 2015
• Design Review Board: Two members, 4-year term begins January 1, 2015
• Heritage Resource Commission: Three members, 4-year term begins January 1, 2015
• Parks and Leisure Services Commission: Alternate member – term ends June 30, 2017
• County Connection Citizens Advisory Committee: 2-year term begins immediately.
• Contra Costa Library Commission: 2-year term begins January 1, 2015
• Contra Costa County Advisory Council on Aging: 2-year term begins January 1, 2015
• Contra Costa Transportation Authority Citizens Advisory Council: 2-year term begins January 1, 2015

Applications are available on the Town’s website, www.danville.ca.gov. Applications must be submitted to the City Clerk’s office no later than 4:00 p.m. on November 14, 2014.

Interviews will take place on December 9, 2014 or December 16, 2014. The Town Council will appoint commissioners at their December 16, 2014 meeting.
