Tri-Valley COVID-19 Patient Fighting For His Life: Report
The Danville resident and California High School graduate, 56, has been on a ventilator for two weeks, KTVU reported.
DANVILLE, CA — A Danville resident, California High School graduate and Alameda County Sheriff's deputy is hospitalized in critical condition due to the coronavirus, KTVU reported.
Oscar Rocha, 56, has been on a ventilator for the past two weeks at John Muir Hospital, wife Maureen Ennor Rocha told the station. She's only been allowed one visit to see her husband.
The sheriff's office previously urged members of the public who "believe in prayer or the power of love and positive energy" to direct kind thoughts to the senior deputy and his family.

The sheriff's office posted a photo of the deputy holding a gloved hand while laying in his hospital bed.

He fell ill after starting to work shifts at Santa Rita Jail, despite following guidelines, KTVU reported.

There are currently five inmates and six jail staffers sick with COVID-19, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office said yesterday. There have been a total of 63 COVID-19 cases at the jail since the beginning of the pandemic, according to Alameda County records.
Ennor Ochoa called on COVID-19 patients to ensure they get their lungs checked, KTVU reported.
