Truck Versus Power Pole: Crash Closes Danville Road for Hours Friday

DANVILLE, CA — A collision involving a truck and a power pole closed Diablo Road for hours last Friday. Power to a few of the adjacent homes was knocked out briefly and the pole had to be replaced after a work truck slammed into it, forcing officials to close the busy road between Alameda Diablo and Avenida Nueva for several hours, police officials said.

According to police, no one was injured during the collision and PG&E crews worked quickly to get the pole repaired and the road reopened. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
