Village Theatre To Host Youth Off-Broadway Musical
Danville's Village Theatre will host the Christian Youth Theater Tri-Valley's performance of "The Lightning Thief" on March 3-6.
DANVILLE, CA — Danville’s Village Theatre will host a youth production of “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical,” an Off-Broadway musical loosely based on Greek mythology. From March 3-6, the Christian Youth Theater Tri-Valley will be the first youth group in the Bay Area to perform the musical.
“The Lightning Thief” tells the story of a young man living in a world where Greek gods and goddesses are real. Percy Jackson must find Zeus’s lightning bolt to prevent war between the gods.
The Christian Youth Theater’s High School Youth Pursuing Excellence is also partnering with Kids Against Hunger to raise money to prevent hunger through a raffle during the show. The students also took part in a food packing event at Kids Against Hunger’s facility on Feb. 19.
