Wind Advisory Issued In Danville: National Weather Service

Gusts of up to 31 miles an hour are predicted Wednesday night and Thursday.

DANVILLE, CA — A Wind Advisory has been issued in Danville and much of the East Bay in anticipation of gusts up to 30 miles per hour, the National Weather Service reported.

The advisory lasts from Wednesday at 8 p.m. until Thursday at 11 a.m. It extends throughout the East Bay, and much of the North Bay, including Sausalito, Santa Rosa, Napa, and San Rafael.

In Danville, the National Weather Service predicts gusts of up to 31 mph Wednesday night, and gusts as high as 30 mph Thursday. Gusts will continue into Friday, with gusts as high as 22 mph predicted Thursday night, and winds of up to 13 mph Friday morning.

The mountains and hills could see gusts as high as 60 mph, the NWS said.

Residents are advised to secure all outdoor objects, and be warned that trees and tree limbs might fall. Power outages may occur as well. See here for outage information. Drivers are advised to drive with extra caution.
