Worker Rescued from Bobcat Tractor

A worker was rescued from an overturned Bobcat tractor Monday morning and transported to the hospital with minor injuries, said San Ramon Valley Fire Battalion Chief Jack Barton.

At about 8:30 a.m. the fire department received a call that a Bobcat tractor rolled over on Starview Place and the operator was still inside. The accident happened as the tractor was being offloaded from a truck and flipped over onto the roof. The tractor was on the street when the fire department arrived, said Barton.

The adult male tractor operator was conscious and talking as crews rescued him by stabilizing the tractor and cutting the protective cage around him to free him from the tractor.

The man was sent to the hospital with minor injuries at 8:50 p.m.

The San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District had 11 people on the scene during the rescue.
