Workers Canvassing Danville, San Ramon Neighborhoods For Census

The workers will have photo IDs showing that they are working for the Census Bureau.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Police in Danville and San Ramon are alerting local residents that they may see people canvassing neighborhoods in the weeks ahead as part of prep work for the 2020 U.S. Census.

The workers are verifying addresses in the run-up to the census. The workers will have photo IDs showing that they are working for the Census Bureau. They should also have an official census decal in the front window of their vehicles, the San Ramon Police Department stated.
