Davis café and music venue Delta of Venus closes after 33 years (abridged.org) — A Davis institution is gone: Delta of Venus, the vegetarian-friendly café and music venue near UC Davis, has closed after 33 years downtown. Owner Lee Walthall announced his retirement and thanked the many students, brunch regulars, musicians, and campus groups who made the B Street spot a beloved community gathering place.

Yolo County news: New UC Davis salmon research and pistachio demand rises (abridged.org) — Davis residents get several key local updates this week, from a new UC Davis-led study on protecting endangered Sacramento River salmon to the long-running Delta of Venus café and music venue closing after 33 years.
