The streamlined permitting system replaces the patchwork of pandemic-era and older rules, with existing outdoor dining spaces required to meet new standards by December 15, potentially affecting where and how you eat outside in downtown Davis.
2. Davis Phoenix Coalition names Sandré Henriquez Nelson as executive director (dailydemocrat.com) — Leadership at the Davis Phoenix Coalition is shifting as longtime director and former mayor Gloria Partida hands the reins to veteran nonprofit leader Sandré Henriquez Nelson, while staying on the board to guide the transition. Based in Davis and serving Yolo County, the coalition plans listening sessions, expanded fundraising, and more support for local LGBTQ+ youth, schools, and businesses in the coming weeks.
3. Davis opening trash contract to competition. Could Recology be replaced?
