• Alphabet to Test AI Chips in Orbit Via SpaceX as Google Pushes Toward Space-Based Data Centers (tekedia.com) — UC Davis plays a key role in Google's bold new experiment to run AI chips in space, after earlier tests at a campus facility. A SpaceX launch from Vandenberg will send Google's processors into low Earth orbit to see if solar-powered satellites could someday handle massive AI workloads beyond Earth's strained power grids.
