For 21 years Oggi's Pizza & Brewing Company has been serving pizza, burgers, all sorts of entrees and appetizers and their own Oggi's brewed beers in Del Mar.

In this Q&A, Owner/Operator of Del Mar Oggi's Janis Deady thanks the customers and employees for making the restaurant such a great atmosphere:

Patch: Why did you open the restaurant in Del Mar?

Deady: We love the community and thought that it was a good fit.

Patch: What's your favorite thing to eat and drink at Oggi's?

Deady: I like the Oggi’s Gold and the Hefeweizen and Ryan likes the Oggi’s IPA. To eat it is such a toss up. The tequila pasta and the Balsamic Chicken Salad convinced us to buy the franchise.

Patch: If I'm looking for a deal, when is a good time to come to Oggi's? 

Deady: Can’t beat our lunch specials.  Served Monday through Friday 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.  

Patch: What's the origin of the Oggi's name?   

Deady: Oggi’s is Italian for “today.”  Today is important because you come into Oggi’s and we make your food today… fresh. 90 percent of what we make is from scratch. Pizza dough made daily. House made soups and dressings as well as sauces, not just from scratch, but made to order.

Patch: Tell me about Oggi's beer, and what's the best seller?

Deady: All of the Oggi’s beers are medal winners and considered high quality, delicious, craft beers.  Many are multiple medal winners. Oggi’s Gold is the best seller. 

Patch: Do you prefer Oggi's thin or thick crust?

Deady: I like both, however, the traditional Oggi’s crust is so tasty and unique that it really is my favorite.
