The committee advises the agency's board of directors on operations and serves as a link between the board and the communities it serves.

Applicants must live or own a business in the city they seek to represent. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in electricity, community outreach or policy advocacy.

"Serving on the Community Advisory Committee gives voice to our community," said Debra Schade, the committee's chair and Solana Beach representative. "Bringing local perspectives ensures residents and businesses are heard and helps ensure that priorities like affordability and sustainability remain central to our region's energy future."

Clean Energy Alliance is a nonprofit electricity provider serving more than 255,000 customers across the seven cities.

Applications are open through 5 p.m. Dec. 22. Interested residents and business owners can download an application from the Clean Energy Alliance website and email the completed form and a current resume to Clerk@TheCleanEnergyAlliance.org.

The board is scheduled to vote on the appointments Jan. 28, 2027.
