Be a 'Moneygrabber' at the Races; Fitz and the Tantrums to Perform

The Del Mar Concert Series during the races includes performances by Fitz and the Tantrums, Sammy Hagar and Weezer.

Written By Kyle Lundberg

Named a “band to watch” by Rolling Stone in 2011, Fitz and the Tantrums will be performing at the Del Mar Races on Friday, July 26.

The indie pop band formed by Michael Fitzpatrick in 2008, released their album More Than Just a Dream on May 7. Their style is influenced heavily by classic Motown, but their modern style helps them to stand out, particularly their decision to refrain from using guitars in their music. Songs you may have heard include Breakin’ the Chains of Love and Moneygrabber.
