One local business doesn't make flower arrangements, flowers are created as a work of art. Jolie Fleur is owned by artist Alyta Milana who started 18 years ago. When it comes to designing flowers, Milana has an eye for detail and color. From weddings, to special occassions, Jolie Fleur turns flowers into beautiful pieces of art.
Patch: Why did you choose to open your business in Del Mar?
Milana: My shop was in L`Auberge. Then I moved. It was good exposure to different clientele.

Milana: It is my talent. I’ve been doing it for many years. I do high-end floral design and custom work.
Patch: What are some of the current challenges you face as a business owner?
Milana: Parking and for people to come in the shop. I’ve had loyal customers over the phone for 8 years and I don’t know what they look like.

Milana: To go meet people and talk face to face and listen to what customers want.
Patch: What local business do you support?
Milana: I shop here and get services here. I support the Haim Hair Salon and the Del Mar Liquor and Deli next door.
