The evening will bring together members of our community for a coastal sunset celebration featuring an authentic Hawaiian luau catered by Islanders Luau, hula entertainment, live and silent auctions, and a signature welcome cocktail.
More importantly, the event will raise funds for organizations and programs making a meaningful difference locally and internationally, including:
<ul><li>Workshop for Warriors</li><li>Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Northwest San Diego</li><li>Feeding San Diego</li><li>Guatemala Literacy Project</li><li>Local community and youth initiatives</li></ul>
These programs support veterans, young people, families experiencing food insecurity, education, healthcare, and other important community needs.

The Rotary Club of Del Mar Brings the Spirit of Aloha to the Coast for a Night of Giving

North Coast Repertory Theatre

A special benefit staged reading at North Coast Rep of King of the Wild Frontier, a compelling new one-act, one-person play written by John Romano ("The Lincoln Lawyer") and read by Emmy Award winner Joe Spano, is set against the world of a New Jersey country club in the 1960s. Through the memories of a young man coming of age, it interweaves the stories of a gifted golfer driven by desperation and a Catholic school student whose faith is transformed by an encounter with authority. As their paths converge, this funny, suspenseful, and deeply moving play becomes a haunting meditation on family, faith, power, and the moral choices that shape a life. Directed by Jenny Sullivan.
All proceeds of the reading benefit North Coast Rep. There will be a post-show discussion with actor Joe Spano, playwright John Romano and director Jenny Sullivan.
KING OF THE WILD FRONTIER will occur on October 5, 2026 at 7:30pm. North Coast Repertory Theatre is located at 987 Lomas Santa Fe Drive, Solana Beach, CA 92075. Tickets are $65. King of the Wild Frontier Reading at North Coast Repertory Theatre

The Art Glass Guild will be hosting their 2026 Fall Patio Show and Sale on October 10th
and 11th. This show is the largest Art Glass show in Southern California and is focused on showcasing art created by local San Diego Glass Artists. 
Visitors will see the patio full of juried artists exhibiting their creations as they stroll through Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park. Beautiful art glass exhibiting techniques such as: blown, fused, torch, stained, cast, and etched will be on display with the artist right there to explain or show how it is done. There will be entertainment for all including, a demonstration featuring torch-work, as well as an area for children and adults alike to create their own unique mosaic art piece to take home.
