The Cheeses of Europe Pop-Up Shop

The Cheeses of Europe, a European Union-financed cheese board devoted to promoting everything French cheese in the U.S., are bringing their pop-up, educational cheese tastings — which have been a major hit in cities like New York, San Francisco and Miami — to San Diego on Friday, February 19th and Saturday, February 20th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. All fromage enthusiasts are invited to indulge in a full sensory European experience by inhaling the aromas, feeling the textures, and sampling over 30 types of French cheeses alfresco in front of Macy’s at Fashion Valley Mall. And yes, the event is free for the public to attend.

Samples will include everything from soft, buttery Brie, Camembert de Normandie and Fromager d’Affinois to aged nutty cheeses like Mimolette, all available for purchase at exclusive discounted pricing. Also, with San diego being the capital of craft beer, it only makes sense that they will be featuring local brews from a TBD brewery to enhance the cheese tasting experience.
