The L.A.-based indie rock band Weezer will put on a show at the Del Mar racetrack on Saturday, August 17.

If you’ve listened to the radio at all in your lifetime, you’ve most likely heard a Weezer song. The group, formed in 1992, has been heavily influenced by the likes of Nirvana, The Beach Boys, Sonic Youth and KISS.

But the group has created an easygoing style of its own with hits like Undone—The Sweater SongBeverly Hills, Island in the Sun and Buddy Holly. The 90s music scene would have look quite a bit different without Weezer.

The iconic band is likely to excite longtime fans as well as win some new ones during their concert, which is free with fair admission.
