Del Mar: “Dine On The Deck” Begins Thursday At Civic Center

We’ll provide the sunset. You provide the tablecloth.“Dine on the Deck," an initiative of the City of Del Mar and Del Mar Village Association, begins Thursday.Local residents are encouraged to bring their own tablecloths and a meal from one of Del Mar’s many eateries to enjoy at one of 16 tables on the Del Mar Civic Center courtyard, 1050 Camino del Mar.The program is set to run between 4 and 8 p.m. for four straight Thursdays from Sept. 17 through Oct. 9.Guests can reserve a table for a maximum of six people – all must be from the same household – during one of two seating periods: 4 to 6 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Space is limited. Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.Tables and restrooms will be cleaned between seating sessions to create a safe space to enjoy a great view and fine meal.Plenty of free parking is available in the Civic Center garage.The Del Mar City Council on Sept. 8 approved Dine on the Deck as part of a package of business assistance initiatives.For a list of Del Mar restaurants, visit www.visitdelmarvillage.comTo reserve a table, call 858-793-5448 or email: dineondeck@delmar.ca.usOpen the Dine on the Deck webpage
