EarthWise Pet Supply Hosts "Love for Leashes" Collar and Leash Drive for Second Chance Dog Rescue

SAN DIEGO – Jan. 15, 2015 – EarthWise Pet Supply, a neighborhood natural pet food, supply, grooming and self wash pet store, will hold “Love for Leashes” a collar, leash and harness drive for Second Chance Dog Rescue from Feb. 1 through March 7. Donations can be made during normal store hours at EarthWise Pet Supply located at 7805 Highland Village Place, Suite G-101, in the Albertson’s shopping center, in the Carmel Valley/Torrey Highlands neighborhood of San Diego. New and gently used collars, leashes and harnesses of all sizes will be accepted.

Collars, leashes and harnesses are high-need items for Second Chance Dog Rescue. When the organization places an adoptable dog in a foster home, a leash and other supplies are provided to the foster parent free of charge. Every time a customer donates a collar, leash or harness they will receive one entry for an opportunity drawing at the end of the drive. The prize is a $50.00 gift certificate to EarthWise Pet Supply.

“We are proud to support Second Chance Dog Rescue by collecting collar, leashes and harnesses,” says Norma Gervais, co-owner, EarthWise Pet Supply in Carmel Valley. “This is a simple and inexpensive way to help support this wonderful organization get homeless dogs off the street and into loving homes.”

On Saturday, March 7, the location will also host a special adoption event for Second Chance Dog Rescue. The event is free and open to pet parents and their dogs, as well as individuals and families interested in adding a new furry friend to their family!

The adoption event will feature adoptable dogs currently cared for by volunteers of Second Chance Dog Rescue, an all-volunteer nonprofit rescue organization. Meet and greet with the dogs and their foster parents, to determine if the dogs available for adoption are the right fit for you.

At the event, EarthWise Pet Supply will be offering special $5.00 nail trims and $7.50 self washes. Additionally, Second Chance Dog Rescue will be presented with all of the collars and leashes collected at “Love for Leashes” and the winner of the $50.00 gift card to EarthWise Pet Supply will be announced.

At 11:00 a.m., special guests and experts will also be in attendance and will be ready to answer your questions about your dogs, cats and other furry friends in your family.
