Aaron Chang Film Premier in North County

San Diego’s Internationally acclaimed photographer Aaron Chang, known for his stunning photographs that have captured the world, has just produced his first documentary film — Mission Rwanda— premiering this Wednesday night, Nov. 14, at 6:30 p.m. at Santa Fe Christian School in the Gym.

The film chronicles a journey of privileged Solana Beach students who travel to Rwanda, get involved helping kids there and leave changed and impacted in ways they never expected.

“Mission Rwanda shows that when we help others, no matter where in the world they are, we’re often surprised to find that who receives the help is us,” explains Chang. “We’re in a time of change, in which the world is struggling financially and Americans question the wisdom of providing aid outside of our country. This is a story of discovery, surprise and lessons learned. It chronicles what happens when a group of students take a journey to an impoverished land to give of themselves and their time to help those less fortunate than them.”

Chang goes on to explain that he initially planned to create a 10-minute documentary about the Rwanda trip, but after seeing how deeply moved and changed the students were by their experience, he created it as a full-length feature film.

Mission Rwanda will be premiering in the gym at Santa Fe Christian School (838 Academy Dr., Solana Beach, CA, 92075) on Wednesday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m., and is free and open to the public.
