Fight Night Comes to Del Mar
See live professional boxing at the Del Mar Fairgrounds on Friday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the first fight at 7:30 p.m.
Come down to the Del Mar Fairgrounds's Bing Crosby Hall Friday to enjoy a five-fight bout. San Diego boxing promoter Bobby D. Presents is staging a boxing event featuring some of San Diego's top boxers.
Fights include Vista’s Aaron “Gavilan“ Garcia (10-3-2, 2KOs) in a featherweight six rounder against Ensenada's Cesar “Mayu” Garcia (8-13-1, 4KOs). Bobby D. Presents states that Aaron "Garcia is best known as one of the most decorated amateur fighters to come out of San Diego with more than 150 fights, multiple Golden Gloves titles, a silver medal at the Pan-Am Games and a spot on the 2004 U.S. Olympic team as an alternate."
The co-main event features lightweight Leon “Third Generation” Spinks III (4-0-1, 3Kos) against Alejandro Ochoa, a veteran of five fights.
Tickets are $25 to $60 and can be purchased online.
In addition, fight attendees will receive one fee 2013 San Diego County Fair admission ticket with every boxing ticket purchased.
