DEL MAR, CA – Fifty volunteers, including 20 Boy Scouts, came together last month with the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy to plant a demonstration garden/native habitat within the Gonzales Canyon Open Space Reserve in Del Mar.
The volunteers planted, coned and watered 150 plants at the event co-hosted by SDRVC, San Diego Canyonlands and the City of San Diego Parks and Recreation Department. The activity was funded by a $1,500 grant from generationOn, the youth and family division of Points of Light, and sponsored by Walt Disney Co. as part of Volunteer Day that celebrates the power of families who work together to support their communities and neighborhoods.
Thanks, San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy, for sharing photos from a great and productive day!
