Go Country in Del Mar; Martina McBride To Perform at Fair

The “Celine Dion of country music” makes her way to San Diego County Fair at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Martina McBride will perform at the Heineken Grandstand Stage at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 20.

McBride has made a career on power ballads and feminine anthems that help to differentiate her from many of her peers, with hits such as This One’s for the Girls, Independence Day and In My Daughter’s Eyes. Her style is a successful mix of country and pop, making for accessible and enjoyable listening even for those not interested in country music.

The concert from the four-time Country Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year is not included with fair admission. Tickets can be purchased at ticketmaster.com.
